Question How do you know if you have the efini turbos or not?

I know this is a stupid question to ask, but I bought a front clip from Japan and I wanted to know if there was any way of knowing if the turbos I have are the efini turbos or not. Any help you guys give would help a bunch cause if i do have the efini turbos then i'm gonna cancel my whole three rotor project and go with this turbo set up. Thanks beforehand for any help guys.....

are you actually referring to the 280ps turbos from the RS, RZ etc, that started in december 98? because 'efini' finished in 97 and the turbos are identical to US FDs.

damn seems like if i help you i may be at a disadvantage but imma good guy so ill help what i can? the compressors received special abradable housings to improve impeller blade clearances, turbine housings are “roomier” and connections were improved for better reliability.. if you have the usdm ones compare to i think u can distinguish if they look alike or not?(disclaimer i only have 1XX posts though im just giving u midnight help =P )

given the VIN you posted in the other thread - you have efini 255ps twins - identical to the US twins (so no advantage)
