Hot Start problem (not the usual suspects)

I have had a hot start problem for years now. None of the following things have fixed the issue, so I am at a total loss.

Rebuilt engine
Eliminate FPD
Aftermarket FPR (holding perfect pressure)
New FPR solenoid
Vac hose job
New fuel pump
Cleaned Injectors (RC Eng)
Verified function of ALL solenoids

So, anything I may have missed that could cause this?

Nope, never touched them. Can they cause hot start issues?

Sure, just like every other component in the engine bay; as they older they can operate different (worse) when they get heat into them.

But it runs fine, and no breakup in ignition. Is there an easy way to test to see if they are within spec?

There's a test in the manual. What you probably should do is test for spark when you have one of those times it won't start when its hot. That will give you an idea if there is a spark problem or if its something else.

What have you inspected when you have this problem? Sounds like its reproducible.

Have you checked the IAT (intake air temperature) sensor?

Heat soak can cause starting problems (air is a different temperature than the value the heat-soaked IAT sensor is reporting to the ECU), and if the sensor is not reading properly, this could be off enough to cause difficult hot starts.

could be engine coolant temp sensor. when mine went bad, it was very hard to start when warmed up because the ECU thought it was still cold, and was dumping in excess fuel. I got lucky, and after the third or fourth time it happened, I got a check engine light which pointed me to it.

and the temp guage always worked perfectly, so there was no other way I would have known.

Would my PFC temp read fine if the sensor was bad? Because my PFC reads coolant temp fine.

well by White94RX'ssig he also has a pfc so you may want to check your car for any codes...if any yet. if no codes i dont think thats your problem.

**** for piece of mind change it out,i dont think it's much.

but i would do as mahjik suggested and check you coils.
