The point that you seem to be missing is that the people you are dissing are extremely well known and widely respected members of the RX-7 community. These guys were around for years before this site even existed (i.e. they aren't just RX7Club.com dudes), and everyone in the english-speaking world that knows jack-**** about modding FDs knows that. That makes it really hard for anyone reading this thread to think of you as anything other than a poser with a bad attitude. (And for the record, there are just as many posers here as anywhere else.)

Doesn't matter. You'll top out at about 195 mph with stock gearing and tires of roughly stock diameter... unless you can turn more than 8,000 rpm in 5th gear. Why don't you have a few drinks and give it a shot.

so just because a new guy comes along i instantly wrong (im a wrong "newbie").. just because i am not on the computer 24/7 like some others doesnt mean i know nothing... whatever new guy= new knowledge. there isn't much i cant do on the rx just because i dont post it doesnt mean i cant do it or dont have the knowledge or even done it previously. and this whole poser thing... how could i possible be a poser.. you can obviously see that i own the car. so its fine everyone can hate everyone can dissagree. i dont drive/enjoy the rx7 cause it makes you guys happy or that it entitles me to post here. i own it for myself.

It means that posership has little to do with ownership. Someone that owns a heavily modded RX-7 might very well be an idiot -- just owning the car doesn't prove that person isn't a poser.

I don't doubt that you own an RX-7 -- and why should I care (I don't)? But you are new to the community and aren't making a very good impression so far. Relax and have some respect for the other members. You're going to take some **** because you are new -- we get so many posers on here that we pretty much expect anyone new to be one. I apologize if you aren't, but that's how it goes.

RXASSASIN7 , you will never learn anything with that attitude. You have attempted to insult some of the most knowledgeable people on this website. Sift through the archives over at http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/index.html and you should see a few familiar names. Guys like Kevin Wyum, jimlab, maxcooper, and DamonB have been modding RX-7's since last decade. You were still in high school when these guys were fabricating parts, racing at the semi-pro level, and otherwise demonstrating that they know more than you about RX-7s and also automobiles in general.

You asked a dumb question (how to calculate gear-limited top speed), and then miscalculated your top speed with that 295/45/18 tire size (which makes me think you don't even own 18-inch tires, if you don't know the proper size off the top of your head). Don't get all pissy because a few senior members had a few laughs at your expense.

Shut up and get up to speed, because you're wasting everyone's time right now by remaining ignorant and uneducated. Owning a FD3S does not make you special or unique. On these forums people will respond to you based on the way that you present yourself. Get used to it or get out.

HAHA, RXASSASIN7 is questioning Kevin T. Wyum just because he hasnt seen any pictures of his car. I dont think that you can possibly make anymore of an *** out of yourself then you already have. I cant think of how many knowledgable people are on here that i dont have "pics" of thier cars. ex. Rice Racing, Pluto, Max Cooper(beyond his avitar and what i can get from his site), many more. I might have a couple pics barried of Kevin custom twin turbo setup or Rice Racing just plain crazy turbo setups, or Max's wealth of knowledge he has shared. But just do the lack of publishing doesnt make them any less wise then someone who post millions of pictures of there slightly modded FDs. But Even these pictures of the cars they own are not exactly proof they have any idea what they are talking about, but pictures of there projects with great detail about why they did what is something that i think will make them a far better member to this forum then the 90% of other FD owners here. Sit back for a bit longer and find out how much these guys know before you attack them for something you in all reality have no idea about.
