195 mph would be more realistic, assuming you had the power.

Do you actually own a third gen? I know I said that picture was the same color as my Hoover, honest I'll post a picture if needed, but I'm getting a troll / wannabe vibe from all of your posts.

My max speed is 164 MPH @ 7500 RPM.

If you were wanting that max upper end, you could replace your 4.11 rear end with a 3.9 from an automatic. This should give you another 15mph or so on the upper end.

I ran up to 165 on my stock motor and turbos but that was 165 indicated on the speedometer, I wasn't smart enough to check the tach so I could calculate something closer to the truth

FWIW it got to 150 pretty easily but that last 15 mph took forever. The windsheild wipers do a funky dance at that speed.

...and finally someone calls out Kevin T. Wyum for the know-nothing poser he is!!! What turnip truck did that guy fall off of?

No mods at all; just an exhaust. High mileage stock motor with stock ports, stock twins at 10 psi and stock ecu. Only horsepower adders are a downpipe and catback but back then I don't think I even had the catback!

To this day my drivetrain is bone stock other than a downpipe and catback. Nothing else has been modded or removed on the drivetrain.

well kevin guess im not alone on this one huh? hey kevin ... in 10 years of "supposedly" owning a rx7 you have no pics and no proof, and to top it all off you have no knowledge.

thats why i turned to this forum from nopistons because i "seems" there are so many guys on that forum either are there because they "wish" they had an rx7 or just really like them rather then actually own them, thats why i love this forum because the guys on here own the cars have the actual knowledge, and are all about helpng rather then so much hatin' on the "supposed"
competetion.
So i think you should go hang out with the other wanna be's over at nopistons kevin.

I rest my Case- Jason

(disclaimer)- on nopistons.com there are some guys that are really good guys and knowledgable guys... just have alot of "posers". not to hate on all.

Ummm...I am pretty sure that damonB is kidding. Kevin is one of the more knowledgable posters on this forum. Ever heard of an M2 or ASP Racing intercooler?? Yeah, he makes them. Good luck.

yeah m2 is out of business or something you cant even get in touch with them anymore plus there prices are rediculous ( and im not cheap when i come to my car) roll bar $1200 wtf you can have a replica made same design for half that price. reguardless kevin has nothing knowledgable to say just hate! plus there roll bar is NOT a good fit its horrible. if your gunna charge that much for something atleast make it fit. i would just think that someone that has the knowledge to build something like that woud have more IMPUt on a subject rather then bs.

I think it's pretty funny, hence I'm not saying much. BTW I'm not a part of M2 and never have been, they just sold my IC's for awhile.

I wonder if you would had been BONE stock you would had been limited to 155? meaning that the DP did that much difference. Either way 165 for just a DP (and maybe cat back is pretty good.

Damon posted, "...165 indicated on the speedometer". At those speeds, and w/ anyone, you have to take these numbers w/ a grain of salt due to marginal speedometer error and other variables. Radar gun indicated speed would be more accurate.

Good God!!! Wow, how old are we?? JFYI there are just as many posers here as well and it's because of all YOU little posers that the older more knowledgeable guys keep their mouths shut or don't post as much anymore. You show no respect for the guys who have been building and developing stuff on these cars for YOUR benifit you would rather trash talk. I leave this forum half the time to get away from the kiddies over here. The only person on this thread spewing all the negativity and trash talk is you. I can tell you from owning a few FDs for almost 12yrs now, the level of ownership just keeps going down and down and down. What makes me think that way? Posts like yours. Either show respect to the guys who made this forum happen with their knowledge or don't direct posts torwards them at all, just sit back and absorb all the wonderful knowledge we lay out for few who appreciate it or better yet just go ahead and use it to make cheaper copies, fits right in with the lack of respect thing.
