the hood squeak situation
I already know I have to grease the rubber stops and the latch. My question is what kind of grease have you used, i.e. what works the best and lasts the longest. I had a choice at the auto parts store of the spray type white lithium grease or Mobil universal synthetic grease (squeeze tube type). I bought the spray. What are your experiences?

I just use some 1" black duct tape on the hood side of the latch. It lasts about 3-4 weeks then I'll just redo it.It's annoying and all but what are you gonna do.

hey Tyler, i used the solid grease, the spray ones wear out and you will need to re-apply ever so often.

Finally greased the bump stops and latch with the Mobil synthetic.
SILENCE AT LAST. Damn, it's so much better to drive without the hood squeaks. Just have to see how long the synthetic grease holds up.
