Hood Pins?

I just ordered the Sparco Hood Pins for my FG hood and I want to mount it behind the head lights, but where do you mount the rod? Do i have to make a custom bracket? or is there some place to mount em? thanks...

see those rubber ***** that keep the hood from moving? I took those out and used them for the hood pin rods. Works perfect and looks nice in that spot

I want to suggest behind the lights. That seems like the place that would do the most good. You've got a hood latch in the front, and the brackets in the back....pins between those two fixtures seems like a good plan.

It's a great place to mount them, behind the headlights.

I do not like how it looks more forwards and towards the center.

Remove the bump stops and put the hood pins in their place.

Only modifications yuou will have to do is drill holes in your hood.

**** GET AN ENGINE ALREADY!!!! Forget about the hood Jay!

LMAO!!! Shuddup TTT!!!

Actually, I'm trying to get the shortblock to Dave next week for him to start on it... But I don't expect to have my car on the road for spring... I don't want to rush my little project and don't really want to drive it in the winter... I got my c RX !! (hmm.. if i ever get the bike that I wanted.. cRX, RX-7 R1 and Yamaha R1 hehe) but anyway I'm really debating on going parallel (which is my original plan) or just sell all my stuff and go single... I guess it depends how much I get for the stock turbo related stuff...

So behind the lights it is!!! oh.. did you drill right through the bumpstop or take it out.. i've seen the bump stop w/ the rod on some FDs.. just wondering..

I mounted them on the front. It actually made the hood line up better. I drilled right through the rubber stops.

I took the bump stops off too and put the rods there. Worked well.
