I took pictures and explained how I did it on a thread from a UK forum. Here is the link:

*edit* Oh, and my FD is an American Left Hand Drive car... so everything should look the same in mine as in yours.

doesn't work.. not only did i make a name to try and view it, it says you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
3. If you were a previous member of FDUK you have been inactive for over 6 months and your account has been flagged for deletion. If you would like to be let back in, send an email to nigel@fduk.org.

dreamz ill go look to see if i can find thos, where did you guys mount it at?

dude this is a ridiculously easy thing to install. find your coil pack harness, unclip it then install the the corresponding ends of the twin power harness into each clip (splicing the hks in between). then find a place to ground the unit. mount it somewhere by the cruise control mechanism.
Its not rocket science, really.

Remove your intake pipe off the throttle body so u can get a better view of the coil pack harness if need be.
Good Luck (but u shouldnt need it)

i did it, wow i thought there were two things to unplug from that pic since i never really been or looked under the elbow since i put on the elbow long ago. I then understood, once i took off the elbow, it was a breeze. now if i had to do it again with the elbow on, id know how to do it.. now here is the problem.... where the hell do i mount the twinpower?

Sorry about that!! That's odd... it's only in the electrical subsection of the tech section. Oh well..

Here is a (blurry) pic of where I originally mounted mine..

There is space (and holes threaded) on the left front wheel well right below the strut mount. You will need to drill a wider hole in the Twin Power unit itself to make it fit..

Here is where mine is mounted. it shares the bolt the cruise mechanism is mounted 2. I fabbed a plastic bracket between the twin power and the mounting hole that allows it to do so. the bracket resembles the primary fuel rail spacer if u will. u will need a longer bolt then supplied for just the cc mount i do believe, i used a stud and a nut from the stock turbo return lines.

if your car doesnt have cruise the install is even easier, u just have to get a little inventive when mounting this thing. if u want i will come help u mount it and wipe your *** after u ****. lol. jk. glad u got it hooked up. good job bro

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I've got mine mounted under the UIM. I no longer have the rat's nest, so there was a nice gap under there. Will this cause any adverse effects, or is dangerous?

It probably gets really hot under there. I'd remove it asap if I were you.

Maybe, maybe not...but i would definetly keep it away from heat if given a choice.

Will the car run the same with the twin power as without? is that what your asking?

it will run the same but u could possible get some ignition break-up at higher rpm levels. the twin power is used to prevent this.

as for the 90% injector duty, i wouldnt worry to much about it. pettit tuned it so u should be good to go.

I seriously think hes asking if he dosent hook up the twin power would the car still get spark... And answer is NO! unless you hook up the harness back to stock, then you would be essentially by passing the twin power, and reverting back to stock.

wow.

well i say in the 90s i should of said the high 90s so iv hit 100% once before so i dont go wot to much. i know it helps break up but im only running about 11 psi atm and havent had any breakup, i have 1300s waiting to go in and im just waiting for my FPR and milled primary rail to hold my 850s. then off to pettit to get the cool charge 3 and turn up the boost.

yea you'll be fine. the Twin power will give a hotter and more consistent spark, which will lead to better combustion, and more hp.

So if you have it install it, it can only do good.

And just curious.... SideWayZ The Only Way? haha,

go and install it, you wont regret it. I need to get my self a twin power.

With your injector duty up that high i wouldnt be driving the car to hard until you get the rest of your parts installed and a tune done. Maybe turn the boost down on your ebc until then and put a wideband afr on your want list (and some other gauges aswell.... U can never have to many gauges)

forgot to add, efini y pipe, and i do have it turned down to 10, i mostly drive with it the ebc off so im doing 7psi, which even i go wot there its still that high. boost gauge i have, i dont want to have to many gauges, only the necessity wideband and maybe egt, and oil temp. so i may have to find a tri pod thing, i know i saw it some where on a store.

Resurrecting this thread for all the HKS TwinPower buyers

So I got mine installed today and changed the plugs out as well. The spot just behind the Cruise Control is the best place to put it. The unit fits perfectly under the firewall frame with the red light visible for trouble shooting. I paid for the harness and it made this installation a snap.

Below are a few screen shots of the placement. Just remove the rear hex screw from from the driver side of the engine bay for the cruise control bracket, and then loosen the two hexscrews on the opposite end and you will have more than enough play to slide the TwinPower behind it. I decided to pop out the windshield washer clip and then just re-twisttied it back since it was blocking the perfect placement for me. As you can see, it is a pretty tight enginebay but I was still able to make this fit.
