HKS Twin Power Question

I am just about done with my car and I am going to take it in for a tune next month (hopefully). Here is my setup:

PF Intercooler
Fluidyne Radiator
Intake system
Non seq. conversion with porter wastegate
downpipe, free flowing mid pipe, racing beat exhaust
power fc
boost controller
550 primary, 1300 secondary injectors
few other small mods

My tune will most likely be done at Neptune Speed in Huntington Beach, CA

I am aiming for 300 to 320whp. Would a HKS Twin Power make a difference in this hp range? Do you guys recommend I purchase one with this setup?

Also, if anyone has a similar setup, can you guys give me an idea of the hp potential with this setup?

Thanks everyone

I would use a twin power as a minimum on any FD3S I owned even if it had no other modifications at all.

I have felt the twin power reduce rich misfires even with a BPU car using standard injectors, turbos and standardish boost levels.

Everyone knows a reliable rotary is a rich rotary and you need a cool charge (intercooler), fuel (injectors, pump and fpr) and a strong ignition (cdi or 4 channel sequential) to reliably make power work on pump fuel.

You will greatly benefit from a twin power.
Without it you may have ignition breakup on your top end which will rob you of hp.

I would definitely use a twinpower. You get a stronger spark which leads to better fuel economy and a smoother running car, even if you are not looking for a ton of power. I have them in stock. Contact me if you need one.

On a side note:

I was under the impression the twin power becomes obselete if you run AEM coils, Is that information inaccurate?

Just be ready to buy spark plugs more often. I love my twin power but I go thru leading plugs rather quickly since I installed it.

Never been the case for me. Been using the same plugs for some time now and they still look great. Maybe its the plugs you are using?

Same experience. Power was excellent, smooth, etc. Better so than other tuners in the area. But street driving and idle was rich. Maybe you should specify to yoshi what afr's he should aim for.

I would think a mid 12 AFR for idle and 14.0 AFR for vacuum cruise cells would be a good spot to aim for.

Then drop the afr when you go into boost. 13.0 around 0.
12's low boost. 11's mid boost, low 11's high boost.

I like these numbers as well. Right now my car is running 10 on idle and 9 when boosting. It is running super rich.

i know. it basically tries to die off and I have to gas it to keep it idling. I need a tune real bad.

This is off topic here but what is the main reason people install WI kits? I have one but I am thinking about not installing it. My car will mainly be used for weekend driving so nothing real crazy.
