Highway runner....
I dont track my FD but I have a touring modle and my mods are below. I am wanting to run 500rwhp. If I am running my stock touring oil cooler is this ok? Also if not can i get by with stock R1 duel oil coolers? Thanks

I know I can't spell.
Edit: Ohh, my dumbass just read the first 3 words of your post.. I don't think you would NEED them. They would be nice though, used r1 coolers arn't too expensive anyway.

You seem to have some serious power potential there for a single oil cooler.
Now, if you honestly serious about not tracking your car and not driving it under high boost, load and RPM in sustained manner than a single oil cooler will be enough. What I mean in practice that if you simply going to have short bursts of acceleration, followed by cool down cruise that would be fine.
If, however, you are really going to use that power and keep the boost and/or the RPM up high for, say, longer than 2 minute sprints than, you need some serious cooling improvement in oil over the single touring cooler.

Do any of you people posting that he doesn't need them even have an oil temp gauge?
You want to know if you need upgraded oil cooling? You install a gauge!
I find it hard to believe that someone spending the money required to hit 500 rwhp would hesitate to spend a little money for better cooling!

BTW- I'm only pointing this out because I myself have a VERY similar setup and was told to expect anywhere around 400ish rwhp on stock ports with say 12-13 psi, which would be safe. Let me know. I'm interested to know if theirs something I'm missing or if you'll be doing something differently.
Thanks.
