Unhappy high rev problems possible answers?

many of u may have know by now i'm going to do a 5spd conversion and add a single turbo but i'm still waitin for some of the part to come in but in the mean time I turn on the car once in a while so it doesnt just sit in the driveway but the past 2 times ive started it, it revs at 1500 (doesnt rev down) then the engine just shakes violently. may it already be time for a rebuild, please share your knowledge?

Did it start doing this after those were installed or did it just start out of the blue?

I would first check and see if you have all your connectors seated properly (i.e. things like the TPS and the MAP/BOOST sensor).

Try driving it around for a bit. See if it just needs to burn off some oil. It could be several things but you are going to have to get your hands dirty and start checking a few things.

Check your fluid levels, see if anything is lower than normal. To the quck Coolant Bubbles test, etc.
