High flow cat where?
Is there anywhere to purchase a HF cat(cat only, no pipe/kit) that would handle 3rd gen exhaust rquirements? Just need the cat, mine is blocked, want to swap out w/ a new one.
Thanks,
Steve

Well, I bought the Bonez HF a while back and put less than 5k miles on it. I believe it is now clogged. My dyno was lower than expected, I was told my car was fairly quiet w/ DP, HF and apexi duals(compared to others heard) and removing the cat( still hooked to the piping), shinning a flashlight thru one end and no light comes out the other. Thus I assume its clogged.

I don't know of any weld on that is specifically made for the FD3S.
Border Racing makes a high-flow bolt on for about the same price shipped as Tri-Points hi-flow bolt on, from jt-imports.

Max,
My dynorun post is below(tho I am not sure how to post the link, but the title is there). There is a copy of my dyno in it.
Dynorun, help please!
Tho the post mostly is focused w/ the igniton breakup. SO, since then I threw a MP on and used a few maps from here and retuned my PFC. Then I had to put on a different CB, since my N1 duals were too loud with MP. So all I had was a 2.5" pettit single tip which is too quiet. Tho I should probably dyno w/ this just to see. But, I kind of miss the low end power I had w/ the cat. So, now my dilemma. Stay w/ mp and find a better CB or go back to HF cat and get a new one if clogged. And the only way to truely tell is to hack the cat off and look in it. And to top it all off, I have 2 powertone exhaust tips that I want to make a cb out of, but I think it will be too loud w/ mp and trying to get custom work done is a real pain around here. Or I could hack my N1 duals and add the tips to them. Hmmm
I have had the cat for 1.5 years. But I have prob only put 7k miles on it at most. It was always run w/ airpump attached, but according to some suggestions on my dyno post, I might have run too rich and this could kill the cat. Tho I replaced my spark plugs after dyno and they did not seem too bad. Nothing that would be considered too rich, maybe just slightly. My boost before MP change was almost 15 and pretty much stayed there. My dyno run was at about .98 boost, tho one of my questions then was why my boost would only hit .98 then drop. What does that mean?
Thanks for help and taking the time to read this.
Also, would a dynorun w/MP and 2.5" single tip too quiet pettit cb be a good indicator or should I switch out my cb to my N1 duals, just for dyno. I am sure my restrictive cb must be limiting the gains from my mp, right? I am getting tired of crawling under the car and switching out exhaust pieces. But I need to do something because I put the cat back on and am still tuned for Mp which I am sure will kill the cat if it isnt dead yet. This was just to take it to exhaust shops, to try to fab a custom CB, they dont seem to want to work on a car w/ a MP.
Whew,
Steve
