I checked the California air resource board (CARB) Web site and can't find the Bonez cat as having a CARB number. thats good news thats its ok for us to use. also if anyone is running a HKS TwinPower Ignition I found the (CARB Number) and its legal for use in California so they can't fail you on visual. you can print out a copy of the California air resource board executive order making it exempt from vehicle code 27156 CVC. (ORDER # D-185-5) .

Unless Bonez has a version that is not on RX7.com then they are not metalic cat's. You can clearly see the two chambers with the air pipe in the center section in between (just like stock). Metalic cat's supposedly don't need air pumps (are rotary engines an exception? don't know yet) and are single section. You can still pump air through the intake manifold with the ACV but there is no air pipe connection. Knightsports on the other hand does have an air pipe connection but I don't know why. Maybe it needs to be retained in Japan unless you pay that fee for a new title.
