No it looks fine, as long as your oil pressure goes up with the RPMS thats good!
My oil pressure gauge sits at almost zero at idle, and just twiches, haha. Yours looks normal.

Just not the best design....
My Rx had similar issues with the pressure and I took some triple zero steel wool, and cleaned male contact and crimped the female contact, and that cleared it up.
If that doesn't take care of it a oil pressure sender is about $85 from Malloy Mazda.
If you are on a budget, you can take the unit off and clean the passages with paint thinner (just passages) , clean and crimp the contacts too.
Mazda took out the oil pressure guage for the 1999-2002 models and replaced it with an idiot light.

The pressure gauge doesn't say anything meaningful. It basically tells you that you have pressure or you dont. That is exactly why they replaced it with the idiot light. If you want a true reading of oil pressure you have to go to an aftermarket gauge.
I really would just take the stock gauge's reading with a grain of salt. It doesn't show anything meaningful, especially if you are tracking the car.
I have a defi gauge so that I can set a warning...and see actual pressure. It reads very contrary to the stock gauge... you can guess which one I trust. Of course it does read similar to the accurate gauge occationally, but hey, even a broke clock is right twice a day.
