hey guys i was just wondering if u can give me tips on how to make 600 or more hp on my 93 fd. im ordering parts everyday for my engine that a budy is building for me and it is gonna be street ported. he built my last engine but being the idiot i am, i had wrecked it. what kind of turbo would u recommend,injectors,fuel setup,etc? thanks i would really apreciate the help

 

if you want big power close to that range, your going to need a bigggger port than street.. a big race port maybe

 

thats not entirely true, a port bigger than street will certainly help but isnt necessary. what is necessary is a large turbo, ignition system a GREAT tune, and all supporting mods. wont be cheap but very doable.

I love it when people just pick an hp number out of the air for no apparent reason. why stop at 600? I'm shooting for 1,000.

 

Search, it's been done on many different set-ups. But the real keys are turbo size/efficiency, fuel delivery, and a good solid tune.

Follow Mahjik's advice and browse the Single Turbo section and see what's working for the guys in there. You will learn a lot by doing research

 

As others have said, search. Big numbers are very attainable with the right mods. I would also search very carefully for a good tuner.

In addition, your suspension, steering & brakes will need to be up to the task. I recommend a full bushing restoration, steering component replacement & beefing up the brakes. Big power & a tired chassis is a recipe for disaster......

 

check out the drag racing sections usually those guys are the ones making crazy HP and putting it to use.

 

20B street port, fairly large turbo like a T04Z or T51R and be done with it.

 

i jues bought my engine that was built by rotary performance, w/ 3mm seals, 850 primary injectors, 1600 secondary, street port, also has power fc, front mount ic, re ameya exhasut, jues everything i need to drop in except the turbo and fuel pumps. it dynoded at 600 hp with c16 race fuel. this all cost me 4500. where can i buy twin denso fuel pump set-up? he's gonna hook me up with the same turbo he has
