Help on these wheels

Anyone running these wheels: https://www.fitmentindustries.com/bu...spension=Stock

BBS RGR 17x8.5s with 55 offset

What tires you using / do you like the wheels? Pics of them on a red car would be super amazing

Pretty nasty offsets. They're going to very sunken in, almost exactly as sunken in as stock. Do not recommend that fitment, although BBS RGR are nice wheels. Will send you a PM

a spacer will not save you on those specs.

your options are either
https://www.fitmentindustries.com/bu...spension=Stock

or step up to an 18 and play with those specs

or a different wheel

Ok first and foremost, I'd like to state that my answer is 100% subjective. Meaning it is all about preference and style. With that said, as far as offsets go:

Eew... no

The 17-inch wheel allows for a nice hefty tire side wall and the 8.5 width is good for near stock power levels, But the +55 offset will make your car look like a sunken battleship (most people don't like that). I suggest you answer Goodfellas's PM. IMO his wheel fitment style has always been on point.

He could always go with a 25mm spacer But seriously, why not just buy the right wheel...

thoughts on not guessing and checking?

try doing more research. theres a thread here with 100s of pictures of FDs with different wheels in different specs on different bodies.

Yes I read that - I figured people here who have owned many wheels and know the permutations could offer a quick response and save me reading 500 posts and 25 threads searching for the answer.

you mean save you from doing research? yea i can see how its easier to ask for an answer instead of finding it yourself. that makes sense... also, its 1 thread with a bunch of posts. its all compiled so you dont have to go here and there to find the answer. its in one location and its even searchable. you're being lazy and don't realize it.

you would be doing yourself a favor and leaving everything to a shop. fd ownership entails A LOT of reading and research if you plan on doing anything yourself. if this is how youre going about something as basic as wheel selection then youre going to fall apart if you intend to be hands on with the rest of the car.

  • Do you want the wheels to be perfectly flushed with the car or is some under tuck ok?
  • Are you willing to have your fenders rolled?
  • Are you getting or have coilovers?
BTW I strongly suggest you comb through this thread:

Post Pics of your FD Wheel Fitment!! - RX7Club.com - Mazda RX7 Forum

It's a thread that spans 12 years where members post pics of their rides with wheel specs and tire size. It an excellent thread and personally I would start at the end and work myself backwards (to look at the latest styles).

I like the CE28Ns better. Titan makes good wheels, but they're no RAYS.
There is a member here named Rishie. His username on the RX-7 Club is ARDT2, and he knows his **** when it comes to JDM wheels for our cars. I'll bet he would politely answer any questions you have, and he can definitely get you a deal on some legit wheels. He's in the Bay Area, too.

Here's his website. I have no affiliation with the business or anything, just a happy repeat customer. Rishie with an S

I just verified with Heath that I have the last two sets of new RZ+ in my garage....... one in Gunmetal (which should be sold locally tomorrow) and one in Matte Bronze (which should be mounted to my MB car shortly).
