Specifically Rota Slipstreams. I'm looking into 17 x 8 with a +35mm offset. Any opinions?

Probably one of the better disposable wheels out there.

Yeah I sorta figured cause they're just imitations of famous wheels. But do you think they'd hold up for a while. If not, are there any five spoke designs youd suggest for drifting. Preferably in a 17"

#1 it's not that serious. unless the wheels are made out of tin foil you aren't going to break them just by drifting unless you hit something. and if you hit something dead on going fast, it doesn't matter if its volk or rota. it'll be done.

#2 if you are just starting out, stock wheels with cheap tires are fine, and they keep the costs down. smaller skinner tires / wheels will also be easier to break loose so you can get the basics down at lower speeds, ensuring that you don't break something very badly and/or kill yourself.

Cheaper and definitely one of the more disposable wheels out there, but offsets are not that aggressive.

The Subbie guys use this wheel for rally driving, so I'm sure they'll hold just fine for some drifting (until you smack a barrier or two). I'm thinking of buying a few sets next year to mount track tires to.. I like the idea if something happens I can cheaply replace one.
