your leaking oil from somewhere. putting in too much oil isnt a good idea for it will find places to leak from. your smoking exhaust is probably oil burning off on it.

That sounds like a turbo oil leak, or your pcv valve could have been stuck closed and motor bouilds alot of crancase pressure thus spitting oil anywhere possible like in the turbo compressor side which will smoke like nuts.

Could be number of other things, start by checking or replacing the pcv valve ...

Good luck,
John Gazivoda.

EDIT: To check the pcv valve you can pull the hose off from UIM and oil filler neck and blow through it, air should only flow from the oil filler neck side towards the UIM not vice versa.

To check before removing the pcv hoses while your car is still running and smoking, for to much crancase pressure just remove the oil cap and let the car runn at idle few minutes and se if smoke goes away.

1. Are you not checking your oil level regularly? The difference between F and L is 1.7 litres....which means you were running over 1.7 litres too low. Not good.

2. Why the hell would you add FOUR litres of oil? I'm sorry, but that is just ignorant. The smoking you are experiencing is the car (essentially) trying to get rid of two extra litres of oil. Not good.

3. In the future, check your oil regularly. When you need to add some, add the CORRECT amount.

Sorry if that sounded really harsh, but you've got to be more careful, especially with something as vital as engine oil. Just don't want you to have a down 7, that's all.
