HELP QUICK! - Greddy oil pressure/temp Adapter
Arrgh.
Okay, I have installed the greddy oil adapter plate that goes below the oil filter. now I can't get a stock filter to fit back on. it's hitting a small screw with a spring on it (is that the tps?) and also the wiring harness right behind that.
Is there a shorter oil filter than the OEM mazda filter? or do I have to remove something else?
Thanks for your quick response.

I am using the same greddy oil P/T adapter and have a filter a bit smaller than the stock one...don't know what brand it is though...some generic brand...it will fit but you still have to remove the TPS switch each time you change your filter...

Yep, you pretty much have to remove the TPS harness everytime you change the filter. I also have to remove my boost gauge plumbing. I wouldn't advise taking your FD to Speedy Lube....
The adapter does make for a clean install for oil temp and pressure gauges though. Also, Greddy recommends using the filter from a mid-80s Corolla GTS. I'm not sure if that is shorter or not, but I'm guessing it is.

cool. thanks everyone.. I was just too tired when I tried to work on it last night. I had to remove the TPS adjusting screw to get the filter in. I'll check out the corrola filter next time.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The stock filters work. You just have to unplug the TPS wiring harness and maybe push in the fast-idle cam.
You could be a guinea pig and try out the Corolla GT-S filter for us though.....

Now fc3s.org was working on the pedestals, and said they would have one that would fit an FD, but I haven't gotten a response yet.

We are just waiting on the rear leg to be welded on, and then have them polished and they will be ready to go. I should have pics on the website by this coming Friday. They will be available configured for stock lines, and with AN fitting on it.
