Wow I just read my post and it was like hyroglyphics. I was in a hurry since my car is in pieces and i would like to get it working before tomorrow. All i was asking through that sweet spelling and typing job was where the pills are located. I read all others posts I could find and everyone can find theirs but me thanks, scott

Ok after some more research I and looking at diagrams, I seem to have the right hoses. Their should be factory ones in each hose right? because neither of mine have pills in them, and from what I have read my boost should be 7 not 14. i am confused, please help, scott

7 is too low, 10 is what you should aim for. The second hose is the secondary turbo precontroll. It's fine if you don't have a pill in that one. I don't and I'm fine. As for which is which I don't remember. Try going to a few web sites. One should have a pic or two. If you are still having problems by later tonight e-mail me.

i have been to every site i can think of and am pretty sure i have the right hoses. and from what i have read if you take the pills out you will have 7 psi, and there are none in my lines and i have 14 psi, so that is what confuses me, if i put a pill in the lines then it will restrict it more and givve me higher boost, correct? so i am not sure why there are not pills in those lines. thanks for any help, scott

Some cars have the air restrictions built into the nipple instead of the pill in the hose. If there is a pill in the hose, you ahould be able to feel it when u squeez along the length of it. It's fairly easy to find, but it is a pain to get out.
In the first case (restriction in the nipple), you'll have to cut the nipple off (using a dremmel or similar) close to the tip (don't cut off too much). put the new pill in a new piece of hose and reinstall.
If there is a stock pill then u'll have to disgard the old hose, and insert the new pill into the new hose and reinstall. Hope this helps.

yes that does help thank you. i am starting to think that i may have new turbos in my car, since i have a 93 and it should have the pills in the lines. and since i dont maybe they have been replaced with newer ones that had the nipples instead of pills, could this be right, thanks, scott

You may have rebuilt, or newer turbos on your 93, but pills or not, you should not be getting 14 PSI unless you have:

1. A remapped computer and you don't know it.
2. An incorrectly adjusted waste gate control rod. (The Shop manual makes mention of the proper adjustment.)
3. A venting waste gate actuator, waste gate soelnoid, or precontorl actuator or solenoid.
4. A leak in the piping "after" the pills.

Any time there is a leak aafter the pills, the actuators will not close the waste gate, or precontrol doors as fast, or as much.
