Exclamation HELP!!!! No Boost!!!

I changed my oil, installed a new oil filter, and installed my RB single tip exhaust and now I'm getting 0 psi when the turbos spool up. The only thing that I did differently was not connect the ground wire back on the exhaust. The flange at the cat was too thick and I could barely put the nuts back on so I put the ground on another nearby bolt... could this be the cause? The car ran fine 2 weeks ago when I parked it to wait for the exhaust. Someone, please help!!!!!

It can not be the exhaust... I dont think exhaust will do anything unless its completely blocked..

Other thing is that maybe one of those pressure chamber on the engine got damaged when removing the oil filter.. but thats also pretty rare... Hmm.. If its the vacumme I would think you will still get some boost..

It won't be the ground, but based on what you said, can't think of anything else...wait did you check to see if your boost sensor (map sensor) was still connected? Thats right next to your oil filter on the firewall. Maybe you disconnected that accidentally?

Does your car feel like the boost is still kicking in? Maybe your vacuum hose from your gauge to your manifold came off. Also no boost through primary and secondary?

Well, after driving it today, I found that I have no boost at takeoff then at about 4.5k I get whip lash There's hardly any power in 1st but when I hit 2nd@ 4.5k, it kicks in like a mule! It was getting boost the last time I drove it, I just don't know what happened.

This is the same problem a freind of mine have. But he wont get more than about 0.5 bar of boost. And his turbo kicks in at 3500 rpm. Most of the time the second turbo wont work.

I dont think the ground for the exhaust will affect your boost. Try to check your boost hose, maybe it just came off.

HDP, going non seq. is always an option. I have a boost leak somewhere on my primary. So I am going non seg. if I cannot find out the problem. Good Luck!!!

Nonsequential is not necessarily the answer. Take the hard road and figure out the factory twin turbo control system. Read this link. It's a great resource for troubleshooting the twin turbo control system of the 3rd Gen Rx7! http://www.autosportracetech.com/RX-7/rx7stuff.htm
