No, a torsion bar is more of a suspension part, the PPF is to reduce flex from the tranny and the pumpkin...

that looks like an automatic v8 fd ? they call it a torque arm, i think

I knew there was something different about that Tranny, but yes if it is a V8 FD they are called Torque Arms...

I am curious as to what is wrong with yours. Most V8 swaps do away with the torque arm and use a tranny and diff brace. Or a tranny brace and aftermarket torque arm like the one Granny's sells. If you are using the stock FD brace like it looks you may have to modify the replacement to get it to mate to the tranny.
