Is the Power Plant Frame also known as the Torsion Bar?

 

No, a torsion bar is more of a suspension part, the PPF is to reduce flex from the tranny and the pumpkin...

 

And God knows there are a lot of people around these parts who blow Tranny's.

 

Can I request if anyone can upload a picture of a Torsion Bar.

I knew there was something different about that Tranny, but yes if it is a V8 FD they are called Torque Arms...

 

Ok - I hope you've all given me the correct answer. I am going to post this picture in the WANT TO BUY section. And state that I Want to Buy a torque Arm.

 

I am curious as to what is wrong with yours. Most V8 swaps do away with the torque arm and use a tranny and diff brace. Or a tranny brace and aftermarket torque arm like the one Granny's sells. If you are using the stock FD brace like it looks you may have to modify the replacement to get it to mate to the tranny.
