Help make up my mind!!!

I am going to buy an intercooler, and I can not decide on sm, or fm. I am going to be installing my knight sport bumper soon, and if I decide to fm I want to do it then. I am not asking for the difference between the two, but wich to isntall. I have heard that the pressure drop is less with the sm, but I love the way the fm looks. It is either going to be the M2 large, or the RX7 fashion, or turbostreet fighter. Please help make up my mind. Thanks guys.

its your car, get what you like. Personally I like the look of the fm as well. I don't like the air that it will be taking away from the radiator nor the pressure drop however the greddy does not have that much pressure drop and the apexi allows more air to flow through.....now, if we could only combine them

I wouldn't get single unless you are going single. In which case I woould definately go with frount mount. They just have too much drop for the twins.

go with a FMIC. for reasons why or why not, do a search.

i would personally go with the turbostreetfighter.com (William's Tuning) FMIC. reasons: if fits with a box style intake (arguably the best style of intake), does not require any relocating of anything, unlike ALL the other units on the market, uses a Spearco core, and is a lot cheaper than the RX-7 Fashion unit.

just my .02

I agree with KZ1, I think a FMIC is worthless on stock twins aside from just the look of it sticking out of the front of the car..

actually, the SCC test showed that the increase of pressure drop comparing FMIC and SMIC was insifnificant.

RE AMEMIYA says that

until 400ps, FMIC isn't necessary.
But, you should buy a good quality SM one.

Personally, FM is good looking.

If you love the way it looks and that's your number one priority, then get it. From what I've seen so far, a good SMIC works very well, doesn't interfere with cooling, and only requires an aftermarket intake (M2 medium) or no modifications (Blitz). Some front mounts require you to remove the bumper reinforcement bar and other things.

Do you ever plan on going single turbo? Do you like the looks of it more then the purpose? You can use the M2 with a single turbo but I would think a fm would be better. If YES to those then go FMIC. My main problem with the FM was the relocation of everything and gravel and squirrels hitting it.
