Help identifying a sensor on the intake manifold
Help identifying a sensor on the intake manifold
Does anyone know what sensors these are? There were 4 vacuum lines hooked up in total to both of them, and when we pulled the vacuum lines the nipples came with them on every single one (everything under the hood was dry rotted)
We are trying to figure out exactly what sensor this is and if it is something we can just block off or not, since we are going to attempt to eliminate a ton of the vacuum lines when the motor goes back together.

Those are the wastegate and turbo precontrol solenoids, you need both of them to run the sequential twins. You can either glue the nipples back on or buy another set.
I have a set. Iif you are interested, send me a pm

You got a PM
To add to what books said, you can delete those solenoids if you install a manual or electronic boost controller on both the precontrol and wastegate. Most people will install their boost controller on the wastegate only and keep the stock precontrol solenoid hooked up. Just FYI.

Hmmm.... maybe that will be an option instead then. We are trying to eliminate as many vacuum lines as possible when we put everything back together. I was planning on a boost controller to begin with, this might possibly be a good time to do it.

Also, you don't happen to have a link or diagram I can look at to see exactly how you would accomplish a setup like that would you? And my last question, what do I do with the wiring harness connectors if I were to delete both of these. Do you just leave them clipped in with nothing hooked up to the solenoids?
