Help with Gauges!!!

Guys and Gals I will be going single very very shortly. Getting the gt35/40 with greddy 3 row, fuel system, midpipe, nippondenso fuel pump, jic exhaust, power fc, and ignition. Need to know what guages will be needed extra like boost, and egt as such. Any pics would be good on how to mount 3-5 gauges. Ive recently been growing on the mickey mouse ears but cant find any pics. Please help.

Boost and Water temp are the really important ones. With a sizeable single like that, you'll need some wideband tuning... so an EGT or an A/F gauge are pretty worthless.. The Border gauge pod is good. The gauges are in a great spot. An A-pillar mount is popular also. I really can't think of anymore gauges you'll need... As you'll need at LEAST a PFC for tuning... And that monitors just about everything.

Water temp is the most important because 75% of the cooling is done by water! Oil temp and boost are the other two must have.

If you remove your a/c like alot do. you can custom mount the gauges( 2 anyways) into the a/c , and fan control locations. Some will argue this is a bad idea but as i said i don't use the a/c or fan controls. As far as gauges to get.... Water temp is a must, boost, oil pressure, oil temp, fuel pressure, air intake temp, egt( somewhat not needed) Take your pick.

The necessary gauges, IMO, are:

- boost
- water temp
- EGT
- fuel pressure
- oil temp

...after those, I think you're probably looking at custom stuff. A friend of mine (guy in my avatar) is currently thinking up some other parameters that would be good to measure such as brake fluid temp (more thinking needed for others).

Gotta make sure you're comfortable with the gauges too...no point in putting them in if you don't know what they mean or what your baselines are.

No pics, but I can easily mount 7-8 gauges. There is that pod that takes the place of the center channel speaker, which can hold 3 gauges. There is the gauge hood replacement which has 2 "bunny ear" pods. You can get a 2 or 3 pod A-pillar gauge pod. And I think rx7store.net has the steering wheel column top replacement which can hold one gauge.
