help... coolant buzzer!!!

i have a 93 fd and my coolant buzzer keeps going off even though the rad and the overflow tank is full. i changed the cap on the ast and the cap on the top by the thermostat with new ones and it didn't help. it was leaking just a little bit before i replaced them but now it's fine.
i filled it up to the point that antifreeze started coming out of the little rubber gromet on the top of the overfflow tank and the buzzer is still fuc**ng going off.
the radiator is a c.s.r. and the way it is angled i can't get anything into the radiator cap itself and i can't see into it either. the car is running at anywhere from 84c to 90c so it's not running hot at all. i beat the **** out of it and the temp stays in that range.
so please tell me if i'm retarded and missing something because i think i went over everything and i would hate to disconnect the buzzer.
sorry for the long post!!
thanks,mike

Sounds like your water level sensor has gone bad. Ground that wire and the buzzing should disappear or just replace the sensor.

Maybe your line broke off like on mine. I have resoldered it, but it was only good for like 1k miles.
Or maybe your line got disconnected. Look between the alternator and filler neck - there you should see a wire and a connector. Check that connection.

If when you ground the buzzer wire (ECU side) and the buzzer DOES NOT go off, there is another wire that runs near the P/S pump and the oil level sensor. It's a white connector. If it falls off or the wire is broken, no matter what you do, that buzzer will not go off.

It's a black connector I think....the white one goes to the A/C. Is it going off constantly or on and off?

/\ like it was said just ground the wire. if that "fixes" it just get a new sensor from malloy. no need to get rid of a great warning sys

Replace the water level sensor. That got rid of the buzzer going off all day. But sometimes when I park the car on an hill then switch the car back on the buzzer will go on for a minute then turn off!

yeah, look on the driver side of the car.....next to the oil pressure sending unit is a small sensor with a tab and a black connector connected to it....make sure it's connected. Also if you look behind the powersteering and down a little bit there is a black connector that connects to another black connector, make sure they are connected also. It's close to the white one. If they're both connected then it could be an open wire somewere else like someone said above. Try taking the connector off the sensor near the oil pressure sendnig unit and running a wire from it to the chassis or a ground and see if it stops buzzing.

thanks everbody, i think i found the problem. in front of the thermostat housing there is a plug (black ) with a black wire coming out from it.that wire is broken off and can't be soldered back on. is this the temperature sensor or something else? in order to fix the wire i have to buy the whole plug that goes into the housing.
like i said befor thanks to everyone that responded it was a big help.

No it/s the water level sensor like everyone was saying. Mine broke off too, you can't really solder it on unless I suppose you drilled a little hole, enough so that it touches the wiring inside, otherwise the solder will just fall off. I got to do something about mine too, dumn Mazda techs, all the sensors on this car seem to break, even just breathing on them, they should have reconfigured them better, guess they never thought people would actually have to work on them. That buzzing is annoying huh.

o.k. thanks. so now i'll call up and order a water level sensor from malloy mazda. yeah i didn't think solder would hold at all by the looks of it. i think mazda put in the thinest wires they could find in the hottest engine bay possible.
oh yeah and the buzzing is driving me crazy.... wait i think i'm hearing it now. no thats just in my head. lol lol

thanks
