Keep adding coolant or distilled water....and make sure you have your heater on high.

Dont disconnect the buzzer....fix the reason why its going off. Trust me,....you overheat your car 1 time....and youll eat a coolant seal. Which = Rebuild

I think your problem might be the fact that the wire is already disconnected...I'm pretty sure the wire needs to be grounded to stop buzzing. Basically, when the sensor touches water/coolant it grounds and doesn't buzz, and when it doesn't touch water/coolant it starts buzzing because it's not grounded anymore. Make sense?

The wire comes off the harness behind the PS pump/Dipstick area, mine always gets disconnected when I change my plugs/wires and it starts buzzing...sometimes the old crispy wires can break. Check it out and let us know.

OH! buzzer

I think there is a test for the sensor outlined in the Service Manual.

GreenMean,

The buzzer isn't for high coolant temps, it's for low coolant level in the t-stat housing. Open up the t-stat housing (when the motor is cold so you don't get a hot coolant bath) and verify that the coolant level is near the top. The sensor is in front of the t-stat housing.

Ground the brown and white wire, if I remember correctly, coming off the harness on the driver's side of the car. It takes a second to eventually turn off but it will. Just tap into it and ground it.
