search, search, search.

this is almost as basic as asking what kind of gas to put in the tank

short answer:

if stock, run BUR7EQ in the two leading (lower) holes, and BUR9EQ in the two trailing (top) holes.

If modified and running more boost pressure, run BUR9EQ in all four.

The platinum plugs have a 'P' on the end of the part #, and are fine to use as well.

Rich,

You suggest those plugs for modified cars? What is considered "modified". Bolt ons for the twins, single turbos, etc.

I have a set of B10EGV plugs that'll go into my car next week before I tune the car. We have basically the same mods (streetport, aspec 500r, water injection, etc)

What plugs do you run?

I've posted about this many times before in various threads

I run NGK/Greddy 10 heat range plugs leading and 10.5s trailing. They're approx $35 each, but they have a resistor (which is advantageous for our cars with their CAS pickup), they're the proper length, and they use the proper socket. Now that I have a good tune from Enzo, the car gives no cold start or driveability issues from these plugs, and they seem to be lasting for me. Not sure on exact mileage, but it's over 4k.

i've used the b10egvs briefly, and i know people have also had success with the b10eix's. It all comes down to personal preference, but for my car I decided I wanted the best, esp since I was going to be tracking it.

As stated, I'm currently running all stock injectors too. I will be switching to B10EGV next week before I go and get my tune because I'm looking to push into the 400+ for my car.

Ignition upgrade, majority of the users use the HKS Twin Power system.

I haven't put them in yet, but from my research you have to file down your socket to put them in. Basically buy a thin walled socket to install them

I've had no problems with the HKS system. I can't speak for anyone else, but from the majority of setups that I see, a lot of people are using this system without any problems and pushing high HP too.

im new to the hks set up i think i will go for it i just want to no can you see the difference in the spark while cranking
and also does it replace the stock igniter or does it amplify the output signal

i want to no how that makes such an improvement

ive been looking at the yamaha's R1 cdi system and was thinking of doing a mod with that it has 4 outputs and is capable of much higher rpm HKS system

reason is its very cheap to get a R1 cdi unit (as a project )
