Help! The car has nothing above 4K
The car pulls good up to 4000 rpm then it stops pulling and has to work to get through the higher rpm's. Once the rpm is about 5k, it starts to sputter, and if I let off the throttle it pops, like a little backfire. And if I downshift on the highway to 3rd gear, and the revs go to about 6500 to 7000, the exhaust sounds like a machine gun and the car sputters and jerks pretty bad. It's pissing me off cause I had a 60-ft time better than a guy running mid 13's, but with my car like this I end up running my best e.t. of......15.58!!!!! On the highway civics with only exhaust and intake are burning me! I'm running two K&N filters (not cold air box), cat-back, downpipe, and mild port. Running a PFC tuned by Shane Racing. They wouldn't program it to lean would they? My guess is I'm running rich, I hope.

I didn't know you needed blocking plates when you installed a downpipe.

His FC has a pipe that runs form the ACV to a port on the exhasut, I think at the cat. When he installed the race pipe there was nowhere to hook the other pipe off so it's been running open. He said he has to take the ACV off and install a block off plate so it can register pressure to open the 5th and 6th ports. I haven't talked to him in over a week but he said he ordered the block off plate and was installing it last week. I'll ask him. I also don't know if the FD is any different then an FC as far as all that goes.
