HELP! Auto to 5spd.!!!!!!!

I was wondering if you people could help me. I have a great offer on a RX7 but, the thing is...its automatic. I am getting a RX7 for my last car from my parents and i really wont have that much money to mess with the car so soon. But, how much do u think it will all range around for the switch? Like especially labor. If, anyone has dont it before. Please help me. Thanks

You don't actually need a manual radiator ... and the harness thing can be worked around. But if you're not going to do it yourself, you're looking at around $3000.

Its simple but if you don't have the cash to do it then look a little more and find a 5-speed. You will be happier in the long run.

Well, i mean we have a rotary specialist down here. But, is it really that bad doing a conversion? EJMACK who worked on ur car? Well, i need to buy a car close to where i live. Which is GA and i found 3 RX7s where i live. 2 are 5spd and 1 is automatic. The only one for sale is the auto. I really want to get a 5spd. I don't really care about the money. I will drive an auto for alittle bit til i have enough money. So what should i do? Wait or...buy the auto?

He did it himself for less than a grand. Appearently god gave him some sort of stick that turns Hondas into FD parts. Otherwise, I have no clue how he did it so cheaply and successfully.

I think that if you want a 5-spd, then you should wait for one. Who knows, maybe by then you will have found a car that you like even more.

I waited 3 1/2 months for my 5 spd. This guy had a 7 automatic for sale dirt cheap but I figured it would be a fortune to convert one so I waited and sure enough I finally found one for sale and it was even cheaper than the automatic. Man am I glad I waited. Just be patient man it pays off. If you do have a good chunk of money why not have one shipped from out-of-state? Good luck man!

With the parts in my garage, I could put together a 5 speed conversion kit for you. Just about everything you would need. I would sell for $1500 + shipping.
