Heater box clips

The clips that hold the halves and sections of HVAC box together have rusted and many of them are past use. The only reference to them was the part number fd01-61-a18, but they don't seem to be individually purchasable.I dont really want to have to zip tie or lockwire everything together.

Are you talking about the flat pressed clips that hold the halves together? I doubt that they are available individually. Cheapest way to find replacements would be to hit up the pick and pull junkyard, find other Mazda's, and leave with a handful of them for nothing.

You MAY be able to find someone with a junk heater box or something that would be willing to sell the parts. Or just buy another box for parts.

If you haven't seen it, here's an awesome thread on restoring the heater box -

Sorry for the late reply! I went to my local Mazda dealer in and they are available, but are backordered to Japan with no set date of arrival, and are not made on demand like if you order a harness new. For a single clip, they are $9.26. I'll be finding a different way of keeping the sections together.
