Having boost issues
Hey guys heres the deal. Yesterday I flooded the engine, got it towed home, come online and searched the unflooding procedure and unflooded it. Came back home from school and had bought some spark plugs and I installed them. Fired right up and the boost wouldn't go past 6 psi.
Couldn't figure out why so I checked the plugs again and realized the L'ing was in the T'ing position and visa versa. The stupid pep boy counter guy miss labeled which one was L and T.
Well I still have the boost problem, the boost wont go past 5 psi. The plugs are in the right positions so I dunno.
Heres the thing, I noticed the CRV was venting to the air..so I plumbed it into the back of the HKS mega intake pipe in the rear turbo since there was a fitting that was blocked off. Now there is still the Airpump hose, and the hose that connects from the UIM (https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...t=CRV+pictures) - What should I do with those seeing as there is nothing to connect them to?
The turbo closest to the front is only a rubber piping connecting to the filter just like in the pic. And the hard piping of the other intake connects to the little "elbow" above the CRV in the picture. Thats the intake pipe I connected the CRV to..would this have messed up the boost? I dunno Im trying to throw idea's out there.
Other then that, that is all I have done with the car. It's the only changes I have made from when the car went from no problems..to having problems. Advise is greatly needed, thanks.

I just read http://www.autosportracetech.com/RX-...leshooting.htm and down where it mentions the pill on the wastegate popping off sounds similar to my symptoms.
It was spiking to 14 psi before, and now it stops at 6 psi..you guys thinking it my wastegate also based on that info or am I looking in the wrong direction?

Do you hear any air venting?
Boost being limited to 6-7psi is indicative of a few things:
a. Vacuum line to the wastegate is leaking, boost pill issues
b. Hose to the ABV is leaking
c. Y-pipe coupler is leaking
d. Wastegate/Pre-control solenoid problems
I've had issues with all except (d) so far...

Thanks NeoTuri/dgeeseman, Im still thinking A b/c it was spiking to 14 psi before and now its limited to 6 psi. I did check the hose to the ABV before but I'll check that again. And I have the Efini Y Pipe, but will check all it's connections.
Now as far as D goes, how can I prevent/repair that?
I'm gonna end up taking the Wastegate out and port it, put a hose clamp on the pill hose so it doesn't pop off. Now the question is, since I'll have turbo assembly off, anything else other then porting the wastegate I can upgrade then (not going single yet)?

D isn't as easy to check, although you should switch the plugs going to those two solenoids - if the UIM was taken off, this mistake is easy to make.
