Has anyone used Flowmasters for the FD?

I have did a thread search and it looks like a mix bag from the other gen RX7s.

My intent is to use the Delta Flow, which creates negative pressure from increased flow, as a mid pipe resonator.

I have the powertone tips and love the sound, but think that going full straight pipe will be loud.

I love to hear from ya'll.......

I have a downpipe, resonated midpipe and an hks catback, not too loud even with my streetport and non-seq. I guess too loud is relative though, I haven't been to an AutoX lately with a sound meter but I used to get warnings for being at around 95db (hks dp, random cat, hks catback, seq, stock ports)

I used a magnaflow 3in/out oval muffler and have loved the results. Still pretty loud though but its a more smooth solid sound than a chainsaw. I prefer magnaflows over flowmasters.

I used Flow Masters on my old RX 2, with a 13b street port in it. Take 2 big folgers cans place against your ears, then have someone rapidly beat the cans until your ears bleed. That should just about sum it up.

Oh yah ticket in under 2 days for that brilliant idea. I would guess in the 110 to 120 DB range.

I had a resonator on my 82 GSL with a streetported 13b. It was too loud. I replaced it with a very high flowing muffler. It helped a lot. Noise levels went down significantly, with no noticable power loss.

Whatever you get, make sure that it comes with a lifetime warranty. The heat of a rotary's exhaust will destroy all but the strongest mufflers. I think Borla makes some mufflers that would serve your purpose.
