Lightbulb Had a few questions about full-non sequential conversion! Almost Done!!!

Hey guys almost done here had a few questions for the members that have already completed this mod... First off on the ACV there are three connectors connected to it I have removed the ACV blocked it off and now need to know if I need to also put resistors in these connectors or just secure them and let them be. Mind you I have a stock computer so i need to know if the Check engine light will flash if these circuits are not resisted. Next one is what kind of tape was used in wrapping the resistors onto the connectors or will regular electrical tape work fine.Lastly airpump is gone do any of you guys now the reduced belt size for the waterpump alternator loop. Thanks for all of the help here.....

For the airpump elimination, I reccomend the greddy pulley set.

If you have the stock ECU you're gonna need to put resistors inline with the plugs so you don't get a CEL.

Also, why would you be trying to go non-sequential with a stock computer.. What other mods do you plan on doing/ have so far.

Non-sequential will work fine with a stock ecu and "stock" boost. The stock ECU runs relatively rich (do a search).

i think he was looking for your reasoning in going no-seq. nto to get you on the defensive of the decision.

It will run even richer from where the stock turbo would kick in compared to where the non-sequential would kick in. To compensate a piggy back or other type of fuel controller/ ecu would be needed.. To help the non-sequential conversion a midpipe would need to come into play to speed up the spooling, which is not really reccomended on the stock ecu unless you can control boost, reduce spike and try to eliminate creep.

I was just trying to see why he was going non-sequential..

i did it simply because i thought i could increase the longevity of the motor... they dont call it a poor mans conversion for nothin

Well my questions still have not been answered......my mods are apexi gt spec catback, resonated midpipe, bonez downpipe, stock chipped ecu, apexi blow-valve,streetported motor, greddy front mount intercooler, avcr boost controller, rebuilt and clipped turbos...the list goes on with other small bolt ons that are irrelevant. I need to know from someone that has done this mod if the acv plugs need to be resisted and what kind of tape was used to secure the resistors into the connectors also when eliminating the airpump a different size belt must be used I need to know the size....Reasons for this mod LOL ummm more power better 1/4 mile time and I hate the sequential turbo system on this car.Looking to break into the 11's after I am finished will post time sheets next track day. Thanks for the help.

Air pump elimination belt- Dayco 5050310, 5050290 also works. Those aren't the part numbers but the sizes for Poly Cog belts.

I'm not 100% but i do not think the ecu checks for an open circuit ont he acv. If it does this may be of some help:

For the resistors.. this may help- https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...t=ecu+resistor

As for the tape you can use heat shrink and spade ends which will plug right into the clips for the acv.
