Gurgling coolant

first off yea i searched around

why does my coolant gurgle? or make boiling noises

still no idea...i pressurized my coolant system and it held pressure just fine, i have 2 coolant gauges the stock and aftermarket, and my car never overheated so..

could it be since my car doesnt have a air separation tank? or is there just air in the system and it just needs bled?

You might just need to get some more air out of the system. Get a Lisle funnel, that makes the job so much easier.

you probably just need to burp the system, do as dale says and grab a lisle funnel otherwise it can be a PITA. Also when does it gurgle? I know every now and again when i get on it and just shut it down when I'm done (yes I know better now), the coolant can soft-boil from the various hotspots on the block and that can make similar sounds.

What asianguy is referring to is called percolating coolant on the forum. Search using that phase and you should come up with several different threads.

Air is in the system causing rapid expansion due to heat (steam). You either have a pocket of air that hasn't worked out or it's the start of one or more coolant seals going. Can you give us more information? Is this a new problem or did you just do a new engine or coolant flush?

it is a new engine probably 400 miles. But since i pressure tested the system, i'm pretty sure its a air pocket, being i just changed on the turbo coolant lines.. i must of not completely burped the system..

i will try to burp it tomorrow thanks for the help fellas
