Guide to Deleting Omp
Guide to Deleting Omp
Hey does anyone have a step by step guide of deleting the OMP? I was told that I need to remove the front cover and plug a hole on it, most of the guys I see doing the OMP delete are just using a block off plate. Can someone give me some insight or a guide would be amazing. Thank you
I am going to be running a Haltech, the reason I want to remove it is because I want full synthetic oil and it does not burn well. I tired too keep the OMP by running a rotary aviation adapter but the engine bay is limited for space and I can not find a good place to mount a tank for it. So I was just going to delete it and run premix instead.
You absolutely need a standalone ECU before removal or the engine goes into LIMP mode.
It may not change your mind but a read thru this might be worth your time….

Not sure if it was mentioned in that old link but keeping oil change intervals close on a rotary is good for multiple reasons,, having an OMP is one of them. And adding an inexpensive and simple WI/AI system has multiple benefits, carbon reduction is one of them.
