Question Ground kit with relocated battery?

Pretty much what the title says... How would I go about installing a ground kit if my battery is in the hatch? Can I run it off the pos cable in the engine bay? I am a little clueless here did some searching just want to find some answers out before I dive into this.

Thanks..

Why would you hook a grounding kit to the pos. lead any where on the car, much less the pos. cable in the engine bay?

My battery is in the hatch, positive cable goes to the bay from the hatch the negative connection is in the hatch. So lets say I buy a cheap ebay ground kit... they all have battery terminals, how would I go about it since my battery is in the trunk?

"ground kit if my battery is in the hatch? Can I run it off the pos cable" =

I'd suggest taking it to whoever relocated the battery if you don't understand it.

I am the one who relocated the battery, I figured it had nothing to do with the positive but wasn't exactly sure and that's why I am here asking questions... so how would I go at this since the battery is in the trunk?

Trunk or not there is still one positive and one negative terminal on the battery, and unless the grounding system is or has an isolation circuit it will never hook to the positive lead. So again I ask why would you hook the ground to the positive. Make sure you have a face shield and a fire extinguisher handy when you do this.

don't waste your time on one of those retarded grounding kits....they are not needed, all you should do is replace the oem ground wire from the chassis to the mid plate with at some 2g and replace the small one off the uim with similar or something like a 1" flat strap bolted to a cleaned point on the chassis. and please read up on the basics of how electricity works before you attempt any more work on your car.

I want to waste my time on it... so how would I go about doing a ground kit install since its in the hatch? I just want that question answered. Thank you for your input on that though. I said I figured it had nothing to do with the positive and thats why I asked before diving into this. Thats what the forum is here for right?

Do what i did.

I gounded the neg battery terminal to 2 ground points in the hatch.

I did 1 to the rear strut tower and the other on the bare metal under the hatch itself.

I know what you mean about the kit though cause in most ground kits, they have want you to ground the batt to particular parts of the engine bay (alternator, body, maybe by the intake etc etc) but you dont really need to do that.

If anything, take the excess ground wires that come with your kit and do that anyway.

I grounded by alt bracket to the body and the intake manifold twice to the firewall.

A ground is a ground.

One of the best grounds you can add is one from where the main cat and cat back joins then to the chassis.
