Ground Control......I think

Installed a Ground Control Kit on my car today. finished up with the front and lowered the car and I had put both of my fronts at the same height. BUT when I lowered the car one spring seemed to compress much more than the other. I ended up having to adjust one spring almost an inch higher than the other to get the same ride height. BEFORE YOU ASK....they are the same spring rate. What are your thoughts????

the left front tends to ride a little low...is your swaybar hooked up on both sides? You should definitely get it aligned.

Are you talking about the driver's side or passenger's side? My Passenger side had to be adjusted much higher than the driver's...

Put one of the wrong springs in? I could see it happening assuming you got different rates for front and back.

Also did you go out and drive it a half block or so before fudging with it. Things can bind up with the sway bar right at install etc. until the suspension moves around a little bit.

Make sure the springs are put in correctly (frotns and back) they differ in lenght.
Also, make sure you put the correct coils over the the correct shocks (fronts/back)
I messed mine up and had to mail GC.

Answer:

"Deep counterbore is for the FRONT shocks"

I think I might have a bad spring....I know that I have the deep ones in the rear so I need to fix that but I dont think that is why one spring seems to compress more than the other .....what are your thoughts on that

spring rates are printed on the spring coils.. you can't miss that. did you check the shock sleeves? are they correct?

see GC qoute in my previous post^

The shock sleeves are on the wrong shocks.....fronts on the rears and rears on the fronts.....BUT the spring still seems to have to compress much more than the other on the front.....I do have the right spring rates in the right locations. So i would think since I dont have a rear sleeve AND a front sleeve on the front and both are rears that springs should still be adjusted the equal amounts.

(Has anyone ever had and Eibach spring set and one of the springs seems to compress more than it should?? - given the printed spring rates being the same on the springs-)

Try swapping the springs and see if the situation reverses itself.
