Greddy Profec B problem: Picture

So I recently purchased a Profec B (old school kind) because I hear these things are rock-solid reliable. I installed it according to the various threads on this forum which is most similar to "SWING VALVE TYPE 2" on the instruction manual. The boost controller will not control boost at all. The controller lights up with power, but I imagine it's not activating the solenoid. Here's my thought.

On the attached picture is what the harness is supposed to look like coming from the Greddy controller. The circled plug in red is missing from my controller, and what was there were 2 wires (red/black) to be spliced for power/ground, as well as the main Solenoid-> controller plug. From the diagram, it looks as though that circled plug has a wire that connects to the Solenoid->controller plug. I don't have that wire since my plug wasn't there.

I have it installed directly from the red/black wire as I drew out in the diagram, bypassing the smaller plug (which looks to have an important wire to the solenoid plug).

Question: Is that wire coming from the missing Power harness plug, that connects to the solenoid plug, a power wire? or a ground wire? I'd imagine this is why my boost controller won't operate. Thank you.

Test it with a Voltmeter.

The solenoid itself? I need to figure out where the wire in the circled plug is supposed to to be attached, since the harness I have doesn't have it. I can add it, but I need to know if it's supposed to be a power or ground.

There is nothing to test with a voltmeter, the wire is missing from the plug that plugs in to the solenoid, since the circled plug is missing. All I had were the power/ground wires. From that diagram, it seems as though either power/ground is supposed to pass through the solenoid plug as well.

A picture of the missing harness plug in the red circle, and how it connects to the solenoid plug, should fix my issue.

If the boost controller is lighting up then you have it hooked up correct electrically. Your problem lies elsewhere, probably in how you hooked up the boost controller.

Are you sure the dip switches are correct?

Yes I have the dip switches just like that. I think one of power/ground wires for the controller is supposed to pass through that solenoid plug via the missing plug from my harness.... That's what it looks like on the diagram (circled in red)
