OKAY, QUICK QUESTION....CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE FUNCTION OF AN AFTERMARKET INTAKE ELBOW AND WHY IT IS BEST TO HAVE IT "BLOCKED OFF"...ALSO WHAT IS THE PURPOSE FOR FAN MODIFICATIONS? ANY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS WELCOME....

im not sure what you mean by the greddy intake ELBOW AND WHY IT IS BEST TO HAVE IT "BLOCKED OFF" but as for the fan mod you should do it because rotarys run extreamly hot because of the sh*tty stock radiator and even though you get a aftermarket one and if you are stuck in traffic, you may still over heat and once you over heat, say good by to you water seals in the engine as well as your engine. what the mod does is to either make your fans run faster and/or longer after you shut your car off. if you do have a RX-7 i suggest you do the fan mod cuz its a really cheap and really easy way to give your self a little more relibility and protection!

 

The elbow doesn't do any thing itself but alot of IC's need it to fit the piping. The block off Is for the AWS not the Elbow. THe greddy doesn't have a nipple on the elbow for the hose so you need to block it off.

 

I was wondering if you buy a blits blow off valve do you need an aftermarket intercooler or the elbow? or does it just plug right it in the hoses?
