Greddy E-manage?
Anybody trided yet?
looks like a affordable ECU upgrade but I heard only
Greddy dealer can fine tune it.
but still you enrich your fuel without software.
but howabout boost cut ?
basically only I need is fuel computer so I think this is a ideal unit with very good price($300).
but again It has to eliminate boost cut.
should I stick with Pettits or M2 thing?
or take a little risk and get E-manage?
I heard this E-manage is real big hit in japan.
what youguys think?

Greddy E-manage is bacically air-flow computer.
It donsn't have so many functions as HKS F-con or
Apex power FC.
The rotory engine is delicate compared with recipro engines.
These days in Japan, most of the tuners want to use HKS F-con.
Because it has so many functions and vast memory area.
It makes perfect setting.
I am a race-car driver.
I haven't heard of anyone to get and use E-manage.

I know people that are using it. I heard it just ok, like inukai said most shops use HKS`s F-con V... Doesnt matter so much, because if you dont know how to TUNE your car properly, then you shouldn`t mess with it. However, all the shops I talked to USE the power FC or try to get their customers to use it. HOWEVER, when they do a full tune, which takes a day or 2 depending on it the have a dyno or not, they USE Greddy or **** I can remember the other name... OH WELL get a power FC best for the money....
ANYONE that says `i am a race-car driver` really scares me!!!! hahaha

So I should not get E-manage?
I know I power-fc is way better.
but way more money that I can't afford.
I don't want to compare this 300 bucks unit to $1000
power FC.
I mean at least will this E-manage do same the same job like modified(M2,pettit...) ECU?
also does it eliminate boost cut?
all I need is good fuel for 12-13 psi boost from stock twin.
BTW I found couple of japaness web site that has E-manage map for FD.
also Inukai and canman Knight sports sells the harness that make ole fd can use new type (16bit) ecu.
does this factory 16 bit ECU have anyadvantage over 93-95 8bit ECU?
thanks.

Oh I almost forgot, they actually have a 32bit now too here. All that does it makes you able to more fine tune your computer to make it run better. You need a pro for that ***** though.. BE CAREFUL
But for the 16bit to the 8 bit comparision, doesnt matter really that much, still a pain to tune.. Thats why if you fork out the money for the power FC you can do it yourself mostly

I have a friend of mine using it on a 1G-GTE Supra. IMO it would work fine with a piston engine, but the FD's complicated and tuning's VERY important. With the datalogit software for the power FC, there's nothing better than using a vehicle specific computer for your car. I LOVE being able to change my oil metering with a click of a few buttons. I'd like to see the e-manage pull that one off.
The E manager is good for additional injector control and seems good as a piggyback. But like you mentioned, the problem is having a tuner with access to the programing software.
I would recommend against it.
I would just bite the bullet and ship your ECU out to be reprogrammed.
