Going from the world of t2's to 3rd gens

Hey all,

My friend has recently purchased a 93 touring ed. rx7, and he's looking for MORE POWER.

I am familiar with basic 13b tuning (Just got my Haltech e6k, BB t66 prepped t2 running!!), however I am not familiar with the limitations of the TT setup and the stock 3rd gen fuel system.

The trick is, we want to squeeze as much power out of the stock TT setup, WITHOUT changing injectors, and WITHOUT wiring anything into the stock harness or ECU.

-What is the wastegate like on 3rd gens? Does it do its job well (boost creep with full open exhaust? (no cats))

-The stock injectors are good for what...350rwhp?

-When is fuel cut, (if any) and who makes a defender?

*Here is what I have come up with so far (If you all see anything wrong with the setup LET ME KNOW

-APEXI upgraded MID-mount IC with water sprayer
-APEXI TT intake
-APEXI GT spec cat-back with custom DP, MP, restrictor (if w/g can't keep up)
-Manual boost controller (none of this fuzzy-logic bullshit)
-boost, wideband o2, and EGT gauges
-RP HP fuel pump
-SX 5/16's RRFPPR
-Pop-off valve

Let me know what you guys think, and thanks in advance.

It's hard, if not impossible, to get around upgrading the ecu on an FD if you want serious power. There are many threads on this already, so do a search. Good luck.

From what I've heard from other people if you are looking to modify it more than maybe just a new exhaust system without upgrading the ECU you'll be running lean and you'd be running a serious risk of detonation... Supposedly the stock wastegate isn't very good, boost creep is very common if you upgrade the exhaust and intake. If you're looking to bump up the psi on the stock sequentials then you definately need a better ECU also.
