Gotham Racing vs. b&m short shift

Ive searched threw 12 pages of short shift related threads and all i got was the b&m kit is really good and the Gotham kit is really good, not which one is better. The Gotham shifter is only 99$ whereas the b&m is 179$. Is it worth it to spend the extra 80$? Are both kits similar or is one better then the other?

Might not be helpful, but I'm happy with my Gotham Racing short shifter. My car is VERY rough right now. Think there is something wrong with the clutch/gearbox as it makes noises at certain RPM/speeds/gears. Streetported, ACT lighter flywheel, ACT street clutch, Gotham Racing short shifter .. mmm nice, but rough!

In that case, you should have gotten the MS replica.

The Mazdaspeed short shifter is THE BEST since you wanted a straight answer! Here is how you get it. Nobody has any complaints about this one. It's pricey though. http://corksport.com/store/category/...rivetrain.html

Where did you buy it from? Had I seen this thread earlier, I could have saved you $40.03(had to put the .03 )

I don't know. I'ved tried/driven 3 FDs each with a B&M, Mazda Replica, or Gotham racing...the B&M is my least favorite as it's very "notchy" and makes a click each time switching gears. Also, the B&M isn't as smooth/gliding shifting as the other 2. It's still a good if you don't mind the notchy + clicking. FDZ
