weird air intake temperature readings
I went for a drive, everything went smoothly, just cursing at 3k rpms in 4th. i looked down at the PFC commander and it read 12 celcius...now i wish this was really the case, but i knew it was wrong, then it jumped back up to a normal reading of 38 celcius.
i drove it back nicely and parked in the driveway, then about 15 minutes later when i turned it on to drive it into the garage, and the commander read -38 celcius (yes negative)...it stumbled as i slowly drove it into the garage, and i then immediately shut it off
I always thought that the air intake temp was under the UIM, i have never touched/removed my UIM so i am confused as to how i am getting such weird readings
I just installed a smb midpipe, pfs exhaust, removed smog pump, changed tranny oil, and installed turbojeff's battery tray + 51r battery
thanks in advance for the help

Even though you didn't mess with the UIM, it really sounds like a loose electrical connection to the IAT sensor (or a bad wire).
You can also double-check your grounds and both battery cables.
Are any other sensors acting flaky?

Call me gramps!
This does not pertain to your question, but are you getting creep with your SMB midpipe? You have the SMB Metalicat, not the straight pipe, right? If so, what do you have on the rest of your exhaust?
