Gotham Racing Block Off Plate Kit?
Gotham Racing Block Off Plate Kit?
Can someone please tell me in "english" why I would want to block these things off? I already know you would block off AWS because it revs to 3k on cold motor...just educate me and tell me why I would want to block off the rest>?
Air Control Valve
Exhaust Gas Recirculation
Double Throttle Actuator
Accelerated Warmup System Valve
Accelerated Warm Up System Pipe

If you eliminate one piece of the AWS, you don't need the rest of the system, so you block the rest off.
The double throttle prevents the car from going full throttle before the car is warmed up. You can eliminate as long as you know NOT to go full throttle before the car is warmed up.
EGR - Eliminates smog equipment. The EGR helps recirculate some unburned gas into your combustion chamber for burning. This sometimes gets in the way of installing single turbos.
ACV - Eliminates more smog equipment. The ACV pumps air into your catalytic convertor. This would be useless if you had a midpipe, so you can eliminate it if you're not running a cat anymore.
You eliminate the smog stuff if you want to simplify your system a bit and get rid of some vacuum lines. Makes future troubleshooting a bit easier.

The Banzai link works for me...
I recently ordered and installed the Banzai BOP kit. It was one of the most complete BOP kits out there and probably the most affordable.
Very fast shipping too.

damn what a deal! i should buy them now because i know i will need them in the future and i could get them before some material costs gets inflated and the price goes up. hehe
I'm not sure what kit you purchased but the one i got didn't come with gaskets. I used high temp RTV silicone sealant made by Permatex. If you use this look for the "ultra cooper" since its the highest temperature sealant they make. Good luck
black1993rx7's pics are not of our kit. You will notice that ours are laser cut to size, unlike the ACV plate that he has pictured.
Depending on what year your cars is or if the engine has been replaced , you may already have metal gaskets, you can just reuse them. If not then you can just use a thin coat of permatex.
We are working on a "how-to" for the entire kit, which will be on our website soon.
