Angry Got a Weird Spark Issue

Ok ,

I have been trying to hunt down this spark issue for a few weeks now.

Then i was getting a No.2 check engine light, so i checked the crank angle sensors and they were fine. Well i fixed that problem by fixing the loose wires on that crank angle sensor. After i did that i check the sensors where the wiring enters the ECU, and everthing is fine.

Was still getting the Code. So i have one person tell me to check the Grounding on the ECU, so i re grounded the Motor and ECU. Well that fixed the Engine Code.

Ok now i am still getting a weired spark on the front trailing coil, It will spark only after the car has sit for a wile (2-3 Days). I will get a spark for the frist few secs of cranking then, when i stop cranking and start agian i dont have spark on the Front trailing coil. Everthing eles is working correctly.

So i changed the Igintor with a known good one and still getting the same results.

The only other thing it can be is the computer!!! I got one for a users on the Fourm and hoping it will come in so i can try that.

I am pretty much changed everthing that deals with the ignition except the Coil and the Computer and Wiring Harness, I Do have a wiring harness that i bought off Ebay coming also.

Hopefully one of these things will fix the problem.

I am SO Pissed off that i am thinking of going to a Haltech or some other Aftermaket ignition/Fuel system that why i would no everthing is new. Really dont want to do this but i am getting desprite.

Would like to get some other people opintions on this problem.

Swap the trailing coils with each other, and see if the problem swaps at the same time. It is called binary testing. If the rear now has the problem, then it is the coil.
If the front still has the problem it is wiring.

Wiring problems usually are not intemittant as you described. Electronics though are affected by heat build up amd ate intermittant.

Very good ideaon the Coil, never thought of that one, so simple but i didnt think of it.

Also it has to be the computer or a coil that is all i can think of.

Did you switch the coils yet? Do that first then do some more testing.

Ok i moved the Rear Trailing Coil Connector to the Front Coil, to make sure that the Front trailing coil is good.

Did that and the Coil Fired perfect. So.......

The only two other things that can POSSIBLY be the problem is the ECU, or Wiring Harness

Lets see, Did you check inputs from the PCM to ICM at the ignitor?

If you look at the connector at ICM, there should be a empty pin. Probe the 7th and 8th pins over from the empty pin. See if you get a battery voltage from pin 7. Post what you got from pin 8.

BTW forgot to add

Do it KOEO

This problem has been solved......

The wire going from the T1 Coil and the ignitior was broken somewhere, i did the wiring mod, so that the wires go right to the ignitor.

Thanks for all the POSTS.!!!!
