Unhappy Got hit -_-; today

Today in S.F. the power went out.... so the traffic lights were out as well. As noted in the dmv book, lights out, means 4 way stop. So i checked both sides to make sure it was clear, and slowly creeping up just in case the people on my right side was going to go, and this lady from the left comes at me... she was on a cell phone...... she tried to stop, but it was too late she hit me. Right between the front wheel well, smacking my tire inward (toe'd in now -_-) and knocking out my side marker and putting a dent 1 or 2 inward from where the bumper meets the fender...... The driver side headlight also seems to be sorta okay but it freezes in open position if i turn it on and goes down after the other one already went down 10-15 sec delay. Car starts to idle funny and i turn it off... after moving the car out of the way and getting the information. (her car didnt have much damage just broken paint). Tow'd the car home and instantly looked for what made my car idle wierd and die out. It seems the "denso boost sensor" one of the tubes came off -__-; plugged it back in and was back to normal ^__^.
Called insurance will be talking to them agian tommorow for the story.

Good news, only took an hr or so to get the tow truck to come.
Bad news, car has to get fixed, right arm is stiff from gripping something too hard and right leg is also stiff.

So could someone recommend me a good body shop for me to go to? (i am located in SF, CA) and maybe one that does good welds? (this is for something else)

Any suggestions would be helpful

man that gets me all riled up. ive always been a big supporter of no cell phones while driving (with the exception of a hands free device) ive been hit twice from people on f*cking cell phones and it iritates the hell out of me when i see someone driving on the phone and halfway in someone elses lane. i hope there isnt to much structural damage up front on your FD. sometimes good things come out of these things though with extra money from insurance. amongst everything else, get a free paint job out of it. good luck robb.

Mmm....that is some bad luck there. I would have just parked to the side cause not all people on the road have any sense at all.
I agree with you, level7. it is stupid to talk and drive at the same time. But we all have done it at least once before.

I agree - in fact I think if you are involved in an accident, and you were on a cell phone, then you should be on a 'probation' where if you're involved in another accident while on the phone, it's grounds for Reckless Endangerment. Or something to emphasize that it must stop. It's a huge risk factor, but nothing ever happens - especially if their driving a light truck or SUV.

Anyway, be sure #1 you have proof that she was at fault, and #2 watch your (her) insurance company like a hawk, and make sure they restore your car with good parts and get the frame and body done right.

As proof does having a photo of her cell phone's last call time and number count? (took it with a camera phone though)
