This must be very old. I remember that car sold at LAmotorcars here in Dallas many years ago. Hard to believe it made it all the way down here...

Nah, I think it gives new members more exposure to some FD history.....this one is particularly valuable because Gordon's old VR FD was one of the first single turbo setups around.

I remember after he sold it, Lance took it out on motorsports ranch for an RX-7 roadracing day.....car looked great, I think redbaron here on the forum ended up with it

Exactly, there is a TON of history that most don't know about.

Funny to see some of the still-active oldtimers posting in that thread like Fritz, Ernie and Keith from KGParts. Also AARotary, who was one of the original bigtime scammer/thieves out there. Somehow I missed posting in that thread, that was just after September 11th and my unit was mobilizing to prepare for deployment......

That was certainly a fun day! I think the highlight of the day was getting to see that car in person. We certainly had all the DFW rotary royalty out that day.

It's nice to see all the old school people posting. Where is the rest of the 2001 and 2002 crew?

Cool

Saw that car last, with Chris at RP, about 2 years ago.
They were fixing some over heating issue.
I never owned that car and still have my R1, that I purchased from a lady in Plano(original owner).

Ahh, the big list days, when I received the digest version and Jim Lab posts were aplenty.

Wow very interesting. I like seeing the history behind some of the members. I never knew of that car. Just Gordon's current 20b.

Think you caught some flak for the chromed out ashtray in your current car too.

620Hp back in '99, had to be a standard setting car.

what did you end up dynoing on the 20B na? I wasn't expecting more than like 300 to the wheels...

Was this the MSR event were Damon B's engine caught fire? There were so many nice RX-7's at that event, but I think I remember seeing Lance with this car
