By the way, in the Letters section of the SCC issue, there is another letter from Tim Benton. He wrote that he wants an apology from SCC for calling his letter stupid. I know Tim Benton is on the forum so he can tell you more about this.

There are a few more letters from other rotary fans asking for more rotary content in SCC.

And then, the editor responds with and I quote:

"Is your rotary worthy of being featured? Rice and pistons be fooked; everything but oil burners suck? Then help us provide rotary content. Send us digital pics of your car, a list of vehicle specs and your contact information to sccnews@mcmullenargus.com"

I think we should flood their e-mail with pics of RX-7's!

Ok I have to ask, the article says the ABS was removed, but unless I'm blind it still looks to be there, did they mean air con?

Wow, beautiful car with very well thought out mods. I personally wouldn't go that far with the interior, but since it's used mostly for racing, that's cool. I don't like the mirrors either. Awesome FD though.

The looks even better in person. I saw it at MADS two years ago and the car is incredible. The cool thing about Gordon is that he owned a Ferrari 512 and a 360 but the FD is his favorite car to drive.

Gordon hangs out in the single turbo forum alot or at least he use too.

Gordon told me that the pictures were taken in November of 2000! So some of the things have changed since that time such as the removal of the ABS, and redoing of the interior. I amsure he will chyme in here.

Damm those pics were taken in 2000 why the hell it took SCC so long to feature it, they should of feature it a long time ago. They should do another stories on it now. Anyway very nice that is what the RX-7 is all about performance, handling, style and very classy.

This article was most likely in their archives. It may take a few months after the car is taken before it shows up in the magazine. Although in this case, it took over a year. Most likely the photo shoot on this car was overlooked.

Remember that comment made by the editor of SCC a while back in response to why aren't there more RX-7 articles....well....I'm assuming that this is their way to make up for it. They may have hustled to find an RX-7 article to print.
