Good old Vacuum line question...
Good old Vacuum line question...
Hey everyone. Just wondering what sizes and quantities I can use for a silicone vacuum hose job in my car. I have seen what hosetech and rx7store say to use for sizes and lengths however I cant seem to get silicone hose locally(Canada) without paying out the wazzoo. Also the othere thing I have read on the forum is that not everyone replaces all the lines. Can I get away with 3/16 to use for the 3.5mm and 4mm sizes and then use 1/4 for the 6mm and 8mm? I have a piece of 1/4 and it will fit over the 8mm fittings. Sooo... what do I need for sizes and how much do I need of each size? Thanks for any input guys!

You can use either 4mm or 3.5mm the 3.5 seems to "grip" a little better.
I would not use 3/16" that is ~4.8mm and seems a bit too large, same for the 1/4" (6.35 mm).
